Also, by knowing where the drop-off center is, you are able to come up with a plan regarding how often you can drop off everything on your way to work or on the weekends.
Set Up Containers
To make the job of recycling easier on yourself and your family, you will want to set up different containers that are specific for the types of materials that should be placed in them. You might even want to take the extra step and mark them with a permanent marker so no one gets confused and starts putting things in the wrong containers. This is especially important if you are going to place a lid on the containers in order to control any possible garbage smell. If using a lid, you can make it easy to put things in the containers by cutting a small hole in the lid. This can ensure that you are able to get recyclable materials in easily while still containing the majority of any smells.
Get The Whole Family Involved
You will want to make sure that you are getting the entire family involved in order to be as successful with this as possible. Otherwise, a lot of things that could be recycled will simply end up in the trash. You might want to use this as a learning opportunity for any children that you have in the home, which can excite them about helping protect the environment.
